Nostalgia Critic DVD Cover (Contest)

The Nostalgia Critic is currently holding a contest for a new DVD they are going to release.  I HAD to do this!  Not only to get some practice on my painting, but because I am a fan of Channel Awesome and the Nostalgia Critic.  I've been watching his videos since I had my first baby and was suffering from postpartum depression...  Not only did his videos give me a good laugh at 2:00am when I was with my baby, but it occupied my brain and took my mind off of all of my stresses even if it was only for 20 mins or so.   So I have a personal appreciation for Channel Awesome.

I tried my best to mimic the style of Drew Struzan (whose artwork I am a very big fan of...).  It would be disrespectful for me to even compare my work to his, so instead I just tried to mix my style with his Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade poster (which I thought was epically cool looking, turns out to be my husbands favorite poster too).  Good lord...  This had to have been the toughest picture I've worked on to date!  I put all my efforts into it and I hope it paid off.  If not for a DVD cover, at least for an awesome poster!  LOL...  Originally I wanted to also have Hyper fan girl and The Devil characters in it, but that idea didn't pan out and I went with the Indiana mock poster idea instead.
